| Future Pride Academy

Waimak United would like to congratulate the following players on their invitation into the Future Pride Academy: Maddy George, Charlotte Roche, Lily Gerard, Freya Lodge-Whitham, and Emma Bainbridge. Well done girls!
This program is very similar to the Premier Youth grades for boys, or former FTC program. The girls will receive quality training, along with extra academy offerings such as testing, nutrition, mental skills etc. This is a great opportunity, and we look forward to watching your progress.

| NEW Volunteering Scheme
From 2018, Waimak United is implementing a new volunteering scheme, whereby those that choose to assist the club as volunteers, or completing fundraising activities, will receive a direct benefit in the form of CREDITS towards their family subscription/fees balance.
Some conditions apply - see here
There are a variety of activities from coaching, managing, refereeing, to sausage sizzle duties, and fundraisers such as Hellers Bacon, and weekly raffle boards. We hope to add further opportunities as the season progresses, such as quiz nights, and activities at tournaments we host.
If you have an idea for a fundraising activity you would like to run as part of this scheme please email: waimakunited@xtra.co.nz
To volunteer for an activity you simply "purchase" your chosen activity and credit in the Volunteering shop. Most activities are on a first in first served basis. Some positions such as coaching, managing, and refereeing specific teams may have multiple applicants and until teams are confirmed we won't be able to confirm the successful candidate, however you should show your interest by completing the volunteer credit purchase form.

by Operations posted 12/19/2017 | Congratulations to Waimak Footballer - Ian Loo
Waimak United would like to congratulate Ian Loo on his selection to
train with West Ham in London next year.
Earlier in the year, Waimak United teamed up with the West Ham United Oceania Academy to host a Player ID Camp. Successful players from that camp which was open to all Mainland players, and other regional camps, were then further invited to attend the West Ham United Oceania Academy National Residential Camp held in Auckland in October 2017.
Players excelling at that National Camp were invited to train with West Ham United in London for a week to be held in March 2018. Our very own Ian Loo was one of only a handful of players from New Zealand invited to join this trip.
This is a fantastic opportunity for Ian, and we wish him all the best for his trip in 2018.

| Waimak United Football Club Annual General Meeting Thank You to those who attended the Annual General Meeting
For those who didn't please consider reading this email and the documents below to ensure you are fully informed for the 2018 season.
The minutes of the meeting can be found HERE
Some of you will have already read the 2018 Launch documents, and Annual Report that were circulated prior to the AFM, but as there weren't significant numbers at the AGM, we wanted to summarise the key point around the increase in subscriptions and ensure everyone is fully aware of the options.
- At the AGM the members agreed to increase Junior subscriptions.
These have increased significantly.
However it is important to note that this is primarily a result of fundraising being removed from the budget, along with reductions in other income areas, and the introduction of a new volunteering scheme.
So from 2018, you can reduce your subscriptions (potentially to lower levels than 2017) by taking part in club fundraising activities and volunteering your time in a variety of roles.
In other words for those that get involved in the club activities, you will receive credits towards your subs.
We aim to circulate a full list of volunteering and fundraising options in the New Year, along with the credits that will be applied.
- Also note that First Kicks and Fun Football will move to Friday afternoon/evenings with no games on Saturdays
- Mini Football will train on Wednesday afternoons, and and have games on Saturdays
- Development Plus grades (9th-12th) will include skill centre sessions in term 1,2,and 3
- Development grades (10th -12th) have the option to join skill centre sessions
- Premier Youth (13 & 14 A's) replace FTC's run by Mainland Football.
If you have any queries regarding this please contact Ian Fong, Chairman:
,
or Marcus Deedman, Deputy:
, or admin:
or if your query if on field related contact our FDM Shane:
A further email announcing our 2018 coaches and selection training days will be circulated soon.
Thank you and enjoy the festive season

Please find below the link to the Mainland Football Policy on Concussion and Management of Concussion, that clubs have agreed to put in use.
