FIRST KICKS (4-6 years)

WHO: An introductory program learning the FUNdamentals for players turning 4-6 years, using best practice, by following the NZFootball Whole of Football Plan for First Kicks. Teams will be 4 Aside for games, and 6 in a team.
Our young players must be turning 4yrs before June 2025 to join First Kicks. We do offer a Mini Dribblers Programme for 2yrs-4yrs each term. Please have a look at the information on this programme.
NOTE: We recommend that players turning 6, and who have completed a year in First Kicks could move on to Fun Football. New Players to football should complete a season in First Kicks.
Consideration should be given to technical/tactical, social/emotional, mental, and physical capabilities as the player will be playing with and against 8 year olds in Fun Football.
COST:
Early Bird Fee: $120 (paid by 1st April 2025).
Standard Fee: $145 (paid after 1st April 2025).

WHEN: Saturday mornings. Session Times - 10.30am-11.15am (followed by Prizegiving)
Start Date: 26th April 2025
Finish Date: Saturday 6th September 2025
No football on Kings Birthday Weekend or the middle weekend of July school holidays.
End of Season Celebrations Day: Saturday 6th September 2025
INFORMATION:
- Players provide socks, shinpads, and boots. Shirts will be provided for players for the season.
- Shin pads are COMPULSORY.
- Boots (no metal studs) are recommended, but sports shoes are sufficient.
- First Kicks may be cancelled due to ground conditions if deemed unsafe due to heavy rain or cold conditions. Cancellations will be listed on the club website and Facebook page.
