WHO: A program developing core football skills for players turning 9-10 years old.
Players turning 9 or 10 have the option to play for Mainland Junior team, playing in the Christchurch Leagues (including girls only) or our In-House Programme. New players to football should complete a season in the In-House Football. Consideration is given to the technical/tactical, social/emotional, mental, and physical capabilities of the player. In-House Football is run by Waimak FC and held in North Canterbury.
Consideration should be given to technical/tactical, social/emotional, mental, and physical capabilities as the player will be playing against 9/10 year old players.
IN-HOUSE FOOTBALL (Mini Football)
Early Bird Fee: $150 (paid by 18th March 2025).
Standard Fee: $175 (paid after 18th April 2025).
WHERE: Maria Andrews, Coldstream Road, Rangiora.
WHEN: Saturday Mornings- Sessions run from 9.00am-10.30am (30-minute team training followed by weekly game).
Start Date: Saturday 26th April 2025
Finish Date: Saturday 6th September 2025
No football on Kings Birthday Weekend, or the middle weekend of July school holidays.
Prizegiving Date: Saturday 6th September 2025
TOURNAMENTS/FESTIVALS
U9 Grade Festival - 20th & 21st September 2025. Held at Kendall Park, Island Road, Kaiapoi
UNIFORM: Players provide their own, shorts and socks (Black is Waimak Colours), shinpads, and boots. The Club will provide a shirt for the season.

INFORMATION:
- Skills sessions followed by a game with game leaders following the NZ Football- Whole of Football curriculum.
- Number of sessions: 15 x sessions.
- Players will need to provide black shorts, black socks, shinpads, and boots. Playing Tops will be provided and given to coaches to give out to the team at the start of the season.
- Shin pads are COMPULSORY.
- If it is deemed unsafe due to heavy rain or cold conditions the session may be cancelled. Cancellations will be listed on the club website and Facebook page.
