Primary School Twilight Football

Welcome to Waimakariri United Football Club's Primary School Twilight Football for Term 4. Enter a team and compete in our 6 week competition.  Each Team needs to be entered individually.

Competition Details

Dates - 21st October 2024 - 2nd December 2024 (No Game Labour Weekend)

Times - Subject to entries, games will be played at 4pm, 4.45pm, 5.30pm.

Venue - Maria Andrews Park, Coldstream Road, Rangiora

Grades

Year 0/1/2 – Tier 1 (Confident Players) - Playing 5-a-side, max of 8 players per team – ½ Junior pitch

Year 0/1/2  - Tier 2 – (Played Football for 2 or more Terms) Playing 5-a-side, max of 8 players per team – ½ Junior pitch

Year 0/1/2 – Tier 3 (Play Football in Term 1 Only or New Team) - Playing 5-a-side, max of 8 players per team – ½ Junior pitch

Year 3/4 – Tier 1 (Confident Players) Playing 7-a-side, max of 10 players per team – Junior pitch

Year 3/4 – Tier 2 (Limited Football) Playing 7-a-side, max of 10 players per team – Junior pitch

Year 5/6 - Tier 1 (Confident Players) Playing 7-a-side, max of 10 players per team – Junior pitch

Year 5/6 - Tier 2 (Limited Football) Playing 7-a-side, max of 10 players per team – Junior pitch

Year 7/8 - Tier 1 (All Players) Playing 9-a-side, max 12 players per team – Intermediate pitch (Must be a minimum of 4 Teams)

Entry fees for Teams Term 1 2024

Year 0/1/2 teams - $20.00 per player

Year 3/4 teams - $20.00 per player

Year 5/6 teams - $20.00 per player

Year 7/8 - $20.00 per player

Entry Fee for Individuals - Term 1 2024

Year 0/1/2/3/4/5/6/7/8  - $20.00 per player

Schools will be invoiced as Registrations come through and payment must be made before the second game. Referees will be noting player numbers in each team for each game.

If Invoices are still outstanding from Term 4, Teams will not be allowed to enter until all Invoices have been paid.

Please be fair when grading teams to ensure an enjoyable experience for all.  Teams may be regraded over the 6 Weeks of the Competition

Competition Information

  • Players MUST wear shin pads as these are compulsory under FIFA laws.
  • Teams must have no more than the maximum amount of players.
  • 20-minute halves with a 2-minute half-time.
  • Each team will require a manager to coordinate the team. An email address and contact mobile number for this person will be required on the Registration Form to ensure updates to draws or cancellations are communicated with teams.
  • Our WUFC Youth Players will referee games.

A Coaching Session will be held prior to the Twilight Football starting for Coaches/Managers, to go over the rules, ideas for warm-ups, and running your team over the 6 Weeks.  More information will be sent once Registrations are in.

The number of Teams may be limited.  Registrations will close on the TBA at the very latest.  Draws will then be done, and out to teams.
